Preparation follows the surface

Before painting, we check for loose coatings, cracks, screw holes and uneven areas. Cleaning, filling, sanding and primer are considered for each surface. Moisture or staining should be investigated before being covered.

Colour, sheen and everyday use

A hallway has different cleaning needs from a bedroom. We discuss the finish you want and a suitable sheen. A sample patch helps because daylight, lamps and furniture all influence how a colour looks.

Planning around your home

Furniture, floors and adjacent surfaces are protected as agreed. The work sequence accounts for access and drying times. We clarify when the room can be used again and review edges and the finish at the end.

A few useful answers.

Do all walls need a skim coat?

No. It depends on the existing surface and the finish you want. Small holes may need only local filling; broader unevenness may require skim coating.

How long does the paint need to dry?

Drying time depends on the product, surface, temperature and ventilation. We follow the product instructions and explain when the surface can be used or recoated.
